Our export process, from Togo to your destination market.
Teak logs are sourced from monitored Togolese forests under a zero-deforestation policy. Each lot is selected by grade and diameter, with origin documented before any tree is felled.
Every harvested plot is GPS-tagged and recorded against its concession reference. This geolocation data feeds directly into our EUDR due-diligence file.
Logs are sawn to buyer specifications in our processing facility — air-dried (AD) or kiln-dried (KD), cut to Indian, metric or custom dimensions, and graded by appearance and structural quality.
Each board is inspected for knot structure, grain, colour consistency and moisture content. Loads that do not meet grade are set aside, so only conforming timber proceeds to the export batch.
We compile the full export dossier: commercial invoice, packing list, phytosanitary certificate, CITES documentation where applicable, and EUDR due-diligence statement.
Graded timber is bundled and strapped by dimension and grade, protected against moisture and movement, and labelled so the buyer can identify each bundle on arrival.
Bundles are loaded into containers at our yard, with dunnage and bracing to prevent shifting in transit. Loading is supervised and photographed as proof of condition at departure.
Containers are trucked to the Port of Lomé, customs-cleared for export, and handed to the shipping line. From here, AYAWOOD controls origin compliance up to the vessel.
Cargo ships to professional buyers across Europe, India, the Middle East and beyond. EUDR-ready documentation accompanies the shipment so it clears destination customs and enters your factory compliantly.
